This opens the second storyline, Arrival in Shadowlands. This leads to The Maw, a desolate place of trapped souls, where you will help the mixed group of Alliance and Horde leaders escape eternity in The Jailer's dominion. There, you take an Acherus Deathgate to the depths of Icecrown Citadel, to meet with Highlord Bolvar Fordragon and receive your orders to use the Helm of Domination to breach the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead. The Alliance quest Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons summons players back to Stormwind, and the Horde quest Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons leads players back to Orgrimmar, where you learn that prominent leaders of both the Alliance and Horde have disappeared.
